History

.2005
:November:
The clan started at the the end of the year 2005, for the alpha 1.0 build of GE:S, and under a different set of rules was limited to a slot of ten members - primary initiative to be strong competitively. Led by Growler initially - who resides from the United States, with Kitsune as his second in command - she hails from Sweden. The leaders had [L[T]K] training and practising in CS:S even after alpha 1.1 saw the light of day, and still as some failed matches were had, it showed how young clanning was for the mod. We had a site and forums, provided by webmaster fcmat, but overall the progress showed how imbalanced it was for some clans to be active and not others.

2006
:January:
At around late January, Growler left his leader role for a spot on the GE:S Development team, (the sidenote to this is he was trial status, but word is he went inactive after that fell through) this role then went to Kitsune, a very competent leader and respected member of the community at the GE:S forums. She recruited one member in her time as leader - Wake[of]theBunt -(trial) as it was called then- . Next, due to some unfortunate luck preceeding the clans youth, our leaders had both disappeared and for some months we were without a leader or any real presence in the community.

:February-June: - nothing to speak of.

:July:
But in late July a push was made by the one consistant member through all of it, for months he had been having fun in-game bearing the clan tag yet only as a trial member due to the inactivity of - some would call dead, Licensed To Kill - or as it was so in-eliquently called initially 'License To Kill'.

After having such a dry spell, Wake[of]theBunT felt it time to resurrect this establishment ready for Beta. So it began - First we got a proper domain name, officially registered 11th July, 2006 at 2:48am U.S(EST) and a flash site started being developed. Some hype was initiated by Wake on the GE:S forums that a rebirth was being attempted, it was met with calls for this member to quit the idea for his own and start a new clan. It was thought more pointless than meaningful to bring it back.

:August:
But it went ahead, the goal was set and it was going to be met, or if failure was afoot? that did not factor into it. So after sitting on it a while, emails were sent to the existing members to return and support the comeback under new leadership and the forums were prepared 3 weeks before they were even advertised on the GE:S clan section - which is now deleted. The day of released, our forums saw some support from a very faithful and dedicated bunch. It was starting to look good and we even got a new recruit - Olileauk.

Within under a week the forum had 16 members, 5 of which were [L[T]K] members :

- Olileauk (forum admin position)
- DAkel (GE:S master/roster)
- Noodle Pudding (graphics - inactive)
- Dejavood0o (original member)
- J-Villa (forum contributions)

From there we just got stronger, rallying in game on new gameservers purchased and then activated on the 29th August, 2006. A fun and exciting release party sprung some positive feedback, and even though the server had no mani-admin-plugin it still drew lots of happy patrons. Everyday the 3 servers save GE:S from falling below 5 in quantity on the gamelist.

:September:
More members joined the clan in late august through september :

- OBi.On3 (signature graphics)
- Rev. McDisney$oft (sprays/roster)
- Weclock (mapper/helper)
- DSX (original member/roster -iDSX)
- Redclott (trial member)
- Fmcat (original member/56k site)
- Armenian_Terror (trial member)
-Gnosis (helper/roster pinchhitting)

In mid September talk of a clan match started sparked by Janus Syndicate leader, Xanatos.
It was prepared and confirmed to be held on 23rd September. On the day, we had a slight case of absentee for the first match, a 3v3 on facility. By the second round, then OBi.On3 came through for us and we had a nicer 4v4 on library, followed by a much more thrilling
5v5 on library with Gnosis co-leading in game.

All in all it was an alright first match, without any practise we could not be anything but doing our best against very experienced opposition :

match ending 3-0 clean sweep.

:October:
This month saw us into a slight rough patch when the server company which housed our rented gameservers went fold and cut us off mid-month, activity was fading around the clan as the alpha 1.1 patch took its toll more and more. The GE:S release became delayed and then again, leaving many with the statement of sitting it out until the new release comes.
Those active among us kept things alive and working towards beta, while fmcat worked more on his 56k site, and Wake on the flash site. Officially sending word out to other clan members that indeed a release of both would be hours prior to beta001.
And finally talks with Wake's contact of server hosting gave hope to a return of our beloved gameservers.

:November:
November was a brighter month, it say a little more spirit around the clan with Gnosis breathing some strategic life into the 'For Your Eyes Only' Forum Section.
This helped spring a number of practices as the clan finally got its servers back and while the practice sessions tried to become regular, the recent GE:S glitches regarding the coding of now outdated alpha 1.1 stood in the way of that somewhat.
A few recruits seemed a promising new development and the announcement of the lingering GE:S Beta001 release - set for X-mas morning - got everyone around the place jumping. All the while the efforts of Rev. and Olileauk behind the scenes not going without notice.

:December:
More recruiting and preparations in this productive month saw a number of efforts from everyone across the board.
Rev. McDisney$oft did some mapping on a custom map he inherited - ge_citadel_rev which is based from the test map in ge64 found on detstar.goldeneye.com. Other contributions from .sh4k3n - who is also up for GE:S Dev Status - was welcomed, and Olileauk again proves his class as an asset for both forum duties and in 56k site departments.
With Gnosis pulling in some big recruiting as well as Wake - in game for the last days of alpha 1.1!
